18:10 – Vets – Matt examined Basil at Longmead Veterinary Surgery and kindly cam out to the car rather than risking further injury.
He said there was evidence of a small seroma at the top of his surgical wound on the inside of his leg.
But as long as it stays the same size then it should reduce over time rather than require intervention.
Overall – he’s about where he should be as regards recovery post TPLO considering it’s such a major operation.
So he removed the dressing and told us to call anytime if we had any concerns.
He suggested that Hydrotherapy can begin after two weeks post-op and would provide us with some numbers –
(once the surgical scar has healed totally and is water-tight)
18:35 – Dinner – Seroquin
